Betty Jane (Simmons) Kennedy

Betty Jean Kennedy, 77, of Kings Mountain passed away peacefully at her home Thursday July 22, 2021. Betty was born April 3, 1944 to Fernie Simmons and Florence Merritt Simmons. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters Dona Sue Turner Culberson, and Marian Maxine Turner Flournoy; granddaughter Tracy Turner; and her brothers and sisters. To cherish her memory she is survived by her daughter Cinda Turner Fussell husband Scott Smith; 5 grandsons Michael Fussell, Charlie Fussell wife Lori Fussell, Kevin Fussell, Mitchell Cavenaugh, and Richard Bryan Cavenaugh; 11 great-grandchildren Justice Gauge Fussell, Andrew Malachi Fussell, Brayleri Suzanne Fussell, Kelsey Cheyanne Fussell, Destiny Marie Fussell, Jayden Cavenaugh, Roland Cavenaugh, Bentley Cavenaugh, Landon Cavenaugh, Axel Cavenaugh,  and Naomi Cavenaugh all of Kings Mountain; sister Linda Simmons Moss, and sister-in-law Janice Simmons.
