Brenda Lee (Smiley) McNeill

Ms. Brenda Smiley McNeill, 78, of Ellenboro, NC has gone to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday December 14, 2025 while at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem.

Brenda was born in Salem, VA August 14, 1947 to Blake and Kazie Smiley.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, as well as her two oldest brothers, Vann and Lester.

She is survived by her three children: Sandra Chaffin of Oklahoma City, Sarah Morris (George) of Woodleaf and Greg McNeill (Shannon) of Laurinburg. Brenda was also a grandmother to seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; she has six surviving siblings: Danny Smiley, Louise Potts, Russell Smiley, Jimmy Smiley, Debbie Greer and Rene Smiley. She was part the sixth child of a large family and leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great neices and nephews.

As per Brenda's wishes there will not be a service other than an honorary gathering of her family.
