Channing Leon Crane

March 15, 1969 — December 19, 2023

Channing Leon Crane, 54, of Etowah, NC, passed away on December 19, 2023. Born on March 15, 1969, Chan was the son of Margie Crane and the late Harold Crane. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Kathryn McNeill Crane, their children, Brittany, Zachary, and Elizabeth Crane, and four grandchildren, Grayson, Carson, Hudson, and Pierson. He is also survived by his brother, Clint Crane.

Chan attended West Henderson High School and went on to pursue higher education at Wake Forest University. He was passionate about his career in the food and wine industry and immersing himself in the culinary world. However, his true joy came from playing disc golf with his family, chasing his grandkids, and coaching children's basketball through Etowah Baptist's Upward program.

In honor of Channing's life, a celebration of his incredible journey will take place in the spring of 2024 at Jackson Park's disc golf course in Hendersonville, NC. This will be a time for family, friends, and those who knew him to come together, share stories, and throw a few discs in his honor. The date and time will be announced.

Channing, your spirit will forever be in the air, soaring like a disc on a sunny day. May your final journey be filled with laughter and joy. Every time we approach the pad, we'll remember your advice.

"Trust your gut. Finish forward."

Until we meet again...
