Donald Foster Miller, 82, of King, NC, passed away on July 28, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Born on August 1, 1943, in Roanoke, VA, to Inez and Collie Miller, Don grew up in Winston-Salem, graduating from Gray High School (class of ’61) and attending Wingate College. He served in the US Air Force from 1966 to 1970. He went on to a career in real estate at Century 21 and later founded Miller Real Estate Services. Don was known for his full-throttle passion for life. He loved skiing and skied all over the world. He loved cycling at Salem Lake and was a 20-year alumnus of the Tour to Tanglewood. He loved the outdoors and backpacked Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon. He loved music and loved to dance. Don is survived by his wife Lynn; son Dr. Eric Miller, D.D.S. (Holly); grandson Logan; and dear friends David Shaw and members of the Winston-Salem Ski and Outing Club. There will be a celebration of life at a date to be determined. Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA or the Salvation Army.
