Gordon Hoyle Casey

Gordon Hoyle Casey, aged 79, of Winston-Salem peacefully passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Gordon, born June 23, 1946, in Winston Salem, was a beloved member of the community. Gordon pursued his education at Southwest High School and Forsyth Technical Institute, where he earned an associate degree in drafting and design technology. He dedicated 30 years of service to BellSouth Telephone Company before retiring. Additionally, Gordon generously volunteered his time as a carrier for Meals On Wheels and Novant Health Medical Center. He also served as a deacon at Becks Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Virginia Click Casey. Gordon is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Judy Casey; his daughter Kristy Casey Wood of Bastian, Virginia; and his two grandchildren, Sean Wood and wife Terra Wood of Mocksville, NC, and Kaylee Wood Crater and husband Dennis Crater of Advance, NC; His great-grandchildren include Ava Mae Wood, Jace Austin Wood, and Lynlee Elizabeth Crater; he is also survived by his sister, Patricia Casey, and brother-in-law, Carey Thomas, both of Winston Salem. A memorial service to honor his life will be held at Becks Baptist Church on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 2pm, with Reverend Bobby Vaughan officiating. Following the service, the family will be available to greet friends in the church Fellowship Hall. Prior to the service, there will be a private inurnment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Beck's Baptist Church or Trellis Supportive Care of Winston Salem. Twin City Cremations and Funeral Services are assisting the family during this difficult time.
