Helen Arlene (Mccook) Wilkinson

Helen McCook Wilkinson, 93, of Winston-Salem passed away Sunday July 23, 2023. She was born on July 10, 1930 to Jake and Mary McCook in Ventura California. Helen was a cheerleader, beauty queen, art teacher, artist, early childhood director, and teacher.  She loved travel and family. She had a passion for art such as batik, macrame, ceramic, and knitting to name a few. Helen was a piedmont craftsman member. She majored in interior design at Ventura College. Helen married Richard (Dick) Wilkinson and moved from the West Coast to the East Coast. Yet, she always remained a California girl! She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sons Mark Wilkinson, and Erich Wilkinson (Jenni); many grandchildren; and great grandchildren; a sister Kathleen Hull; and a brother John McCook. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday August 5, 2023 at Twin City Cremations.
