Inez Maxine (Todd) Galyean

Inez Maxine Todd Galyean, 92, of Lexington, NC, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, at her home under the care of Hospice.

Maxine was born on June 11, 1933, in Galax, VA to the late Andy Mack Todd and Susan Callie Crissmon Todd. She grew up in Lowgap, NC where she attended Lowgap School from 1 st -12 th grade. She met her lifelong friend, Cora Mae Stamper in 1 st grade and their friendship continued throughout her life. Maxine married Roger Eugene Galyean, also of Lowgap, on March 21, 1953. They had 3 daughters during the 24 years they shared until his passing on March 26, 1977. Maxine was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and her job as a bookkeeper. She worked for many years at Butler Enterprises and then Immedia Print in Winston-Salem, NC before retiring at 72. Maxine was known for her generosity and

quiet kindness. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, crosswords and jigsaw puzzles as well as reading her Bible and devotionals. Her favorite Bible verse was Psalm 23 which she recited frequently in her last days. Maxine also loved visiting the beach where she enjoyed the sights and sounds of the ocean.

Maxine will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. She is survived by her loving children, Gena (Bart) Near, Rindy (Scott) Russell, and Susan (Robert) Miles her cherished grandchildren, Robert Moss, Lauren (Bill) Lindler, David (Myriah) Miles, and Joshua Miles, and great-grandchildren Nora Miles, Callie Lindler, Liam Lindler, Leif Miles, Jude Miles, and Frey Miles.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 1pm at River Oaks Community Church, 1855 Lewisville-Clemmons Road, Clemmons NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Davidson County, in appreciation of their loving care.
