John Chester Faith

John Chester Faith, of Lewisville, North Carolina, passed away on January 11, 2026. He was born November 16, 1942 in Richland Center, Wisconsin, to the late Roberta Tanner and Leeman Faith.

John dedicated much of his life to military service, honorably serving in the United States Navy before transitioning to the Army, where he eventually retired as a drill sergeant. His discipline was matched only by his servant’s heart and a unique sense of humor that ensured he always had a joke ready for any occasion.

John enjoyed being an active member of the community and was a devoted member and volunteer at River Oaks Community Church and took great joy in volunteering at the local elementary school. Because of his love for community, friendship, and a good cup of black coffee, John spent much time supporting his favorite local coffee shop, Great Wagon Road Coffee where he was honored with his very own signature brew, "Johnny Java." Whether he was cheering for the Green Bay Packers, attending his beloved Bible study groups, or sharing vivid memories of his time in the service, John did so with a warmth that drew people together.

John is survived by his loving wife, Marci Faith; his stepchildren, Lori Norman, Kristina Ward, and David Bordeaux; his brothers, Bun and Dick Faith, as well as his niece and nephews. He was a proud grandfather to Morgan Lynn Noman, Tyler Ward, Bri Norman, Michella Ward, Tj Norman, Junior Faith, Keegan Bordeaux, Charlotte Bordeaux, and Maverick Bordeaux. He was preceded in death by his sons, John Faith and Jeff Faith.

We believe John would love for us to gather together as friends and family over a cup of coffee as we share memories of a life well served. A Celebration of Life will be held as a drop-in event on Saturday, February 7,  2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Great Wagon Road Coffee in Lewisville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a ministry of your choice to help others know and love Jesus, honoring John's commitment to his faith.
