Larry Wayne Everhart

Larry Wayne Everhart, 71, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, at his home in Lexington, North Carolina. He was born Feb. 28, 1952, in Davidson County, North Carolina, to Grant Everhart and Betty Colleen Everhart Fritts.

On May 21, 1970, he married Diane Lanning.  He was a proud father of their two daughters and was an even prouder Pawpaw! Larry was a brick mason for over 30 years and worked for the City of Lexington Recycling & Waste Collection Department as an Equipment Operator.

Larry (aka "Redman") was an avid hunter and houndsman and a member of the Big Oak Hunt Club in Richmond County, NC. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren Ridge and Rylee Connie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Doug Everhart and Terry Fritts. He is survived by his wife, Diane Everhart, daughters Wendy Brinkley (Joel) and Mandy Connie (Scotty) and two grandchildren Ridge and Rylee Connie, sister Janice Blevins and brothers Mike Everhart and Michael Fritts (Teresa) and his dogs, Zoey and Hazel. The family would like to thank Janice Blevins, Teri Taylor and Trellis Supportive Care (Nancy, Angie), for all their support.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem NC 27103.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
