Michael Ray Kite

Michael Ray Kite, 84, of Winston-Salem, NC, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on February 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on June 7, 1941, in Forsyth County, NC to Helen Miller Kite and Ray Allen Kite. He grew up in Winston-Salem, NC and graduated from Southwest High School in 1960.

He married his high school sweetheart, Linda Kay Jones, on August 10, 1963. They raised two children: Jon (Amanda) Kite and Brian (Teresa) Kite. He had a great love for golf, people, and Jesus. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, his two sons, nine grandchildren, his two sisters Betty Lewis and Sandra Adams, his nieces and nephews, his great nieces, and his great-great nephew.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Rosemont Baptist Church (415 W. Clemmonsville Rd, Winston-Salem). The memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm, followed by a visitation time with the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Rosemont Baptist Church.

Mike will be deeply missed and cherished forever.
