Rev. Dr. Chris Tillman, Sr., departed this world rejoicing, entering his eternal reward with peace and victory. A resident of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, he lived a life richly marked by service, kindness, and faith. He will forever be remembered for his remarkable achievements and his unwavering devotion to God, family, and community:

Chris loved playing chess in his free time, the outdoors, traveling, and embracing new cultures. Wherever he journeyed, he ministered with joy, often beginning with his signature phrase from his book: “What came first, the chicken or the egg?” For all who knew him, Chris leaves behind a legacy of wisdom, compassion, and faith. He is cherished and remembered by his beloved children Denise, Ryan, Sherial, Ion, Kimberly, Princess and Elizabeth, Michael, grandchildren, family, countless friends, and all who were blessed by his life and ministry.
