Rita Ann (Spencer) Hutchens

Rita Ann Hutchens, 68, passed away on July 13, 2024, in Mocksville, NC. Born on January 9, 1956. She spent years at Food Lion as Deli manager and cake decorator before leaving to go to Baker’s Furniture once the factory shut down she went back to school receiving her Associates Degree but ended up being at K-mart part time until their closing. She loved decorating big time for every holiday, working outside in her flowers, if you saw her she always had a smile on her face. She has met a lot of people who love her in her lifetime,s he never met a stranger. She was really a great mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife and an overall person that will be truly missed. She is survived by her husband of 27 years David Hutchens; her children Becky(Tim) Shoffner, Mandy Mcdaniel(Kyree), Donnie(Vicky) Lail; grandkids Lexi Shue, Jake Shue, Jaden Reed,Shianna Reed, Landen Reed, Alyssa Mcdaniel, Kaitlin Mcdaniel, Kelsey (Brandon) Cheeks, Skylar Lail, Zarek Lail, Brittany (Corey) Desmond; 2 step children; and quite a few great grandkids.
