Tonya Lynn Brewer, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed into the sacred presence of the Lord on October 14, 2025, at the age of 52 years 7 months 23 days. Her life was a testament to resilience, grace, and unwavering faith.
Born in Forsyth County, NC, on February 21, 1973, Tonya spent much of her life nurturing others, whether through her soulful teaching, her steadfast love for her family and friends, or her courageous journey as a survivor of abuse. She transformed hardship into hope, becoming a beacon of strength to those who knew her, and an advocate for healing and empowerment.
As a single mother, Tonya poured her heart into raising her son, Titus, with compassion, wisdom, and joy. Their home was filled with love, laughter, music, and warmth. Her many students remember her not only for her technical mastery of piano and voice but for the way she made each of them feel seen, heard, and valued.
Tonya’s faith in Christ was the cornerstone of her life. She lived with deep conviction, serving her church community and sharing her testimony with humility and courage. Her voice—both literal and spiritual—lifted others and left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, Titus; her mother, Shirley Brewer;her father, Johnny Brewer (Karen); her sister, Wendy Fulp, and brother-in-law,Darrell; her nieces, Cali Fulp and Emma Fulp-Cline (Joseph); her nephew, Bryson Fulp (Amani); and her faithful canine companion, Simba. Her memory also live son in the hearts of countless family, friends, and fellow believers who will continue to honor her legacy of love, music, and unwavering faith.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 22 at 2PM at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Walkertown, NC. The family kindly asks guests to honor Tonya by wearing shades of purple—her favorite color. In lieu of flowers,monetary donations may be made to assist her son during his transition to life without his mother.
