Obituary
Carolyn Lucille Cox, 85, accepted the Lord’s call to come home at Trellis Supportive Care on Saturday, October 22, 2022. She was born on March 3, 1937 in Winston-Salem NC, the only daughter of Wesley and Lillie Lawson. The family was blessed with seven children which included two sets of twins. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Howard, Harold Gray, Elmer and her twin brother, Carroll. Grieving her loss are brothers Delmer (Doris) and Alton. Mrs. Cox loved her Lord and was the devoted wife of 66 years to James Albert Cox; and loving mother to Terry (Monica), Danny and Randy. Ashes will be spread at a private family service at a future date. Carolyn loved to work in her flowers and often canned vegetables from their summer garden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Linville Forest Church of Christ, or to the Humane Society.
