Flinchum Jr., Earl Thomas November 27, 1943 - January 5, 2023.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Earl Thomas "Tom" Flinchum passed away on Thursday January 05, 2023, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House. He was 79 years old.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Tom was born on November 27, 1943 in Fayetteville, NC to the late Earl Thomas Flinchum Sr. and Beatrice Bennett Roberts. He graduated in 1970 from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor Of Arts degree and later earned a Masters of Business Administration from University of North Carolina Greensboro in 1989.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Tom was a member of the North Carolina State Marching Band and proudly displayed his lifelong love of NCSU. If not wearing something with the Wolfpack emblem or wearing something red, one could see the stickers on his car and license plate or he would always be more than glad to tell you about the best University ever. He was an avid hiker, cyclist, and runner and had participated in many marathons over the past several years. He loved to attend live outdoor concert's especially Bluegrass. One of the biggest joy's in his life was service work in his Church Community. He worked with the Youth Groups as well as being a Greeter. He often liked to take his beloved dog Champ on his hikes.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     He is survived by his daughters Deborah Flinchum of Winston Salem and Jennifer Flinchum Williard of Raleigh; grandchildren, Ben, Megan, and Jacob Williard; and countless friends.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               The Family invites you to celebrate Tom at a Celebration of Life Service at Hillsdale Methodist Church on Sunday 1/15/23 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Tom's name to The Humane Society of Forsyth County or The Hillsdale Youth Ministry. Family will receive Friends from 1-1:45 prior to service.
