Obituary

Jerry Wayne Adams, 79, of Walkertown, went home to be with his Lord Friday August 12, 2022, after a long period of declining health.

He retired for R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after 37 years of service. He enjoyed bowling with his friends for many years until he became ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents William L. Adams and Mary Logan Adams; brothers James W. Adams and Grady L. Adams; aunt Nancy Logan Todd; and stepson Kenneth Lee Mandakis.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandra K. Adams; brothers Roy Lee Adams (Hilda) and Larry L. Adams; nephew Ted Lee Adams; niece Debbie Samaroo; stepson James Lee Hendrix Jr.; and step-grandson Kameron B. Dozier.

We would like to say many thanks to Northside Kidney Dialysis Center of Winston-Salem.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday Sept. 17, 2022 at Friends Baptist Church. The visitation will be held at the church at 1:00 pm, one hour prior to the service.
