Melvin Thomas Schroyer, Sr

We are sad to announce the passing of Melvin Thomas Schroyer Sr. of Winston- Salem. Mel passed away on September 30, 2023 peacefully surrounded by family at the age 84. He had a large impact on the football community with West Forsyth High School football team coaching for over 30 years. He loved coaching little league and also enjoyed nascar racing. Mel is survived by his son Tommy and wife Denise; Granddaughter Candice and husband Matthew Harris;  their four daughters Britney, McKenzie, Sophia and Lacey; two Great Grandsons Brandon and Kevin Dalton. He is also survived by his brother Johnny; and two sisters Barbara and Paula. A memorial service will be held at Clemmons First Baptist Family Life center on November 4, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00pm.
