She graduated from West Forsyth High School in 2000. After high school, she worked a number of years at the State Employees Credit Union. Subsequently she pursued a career in real estate, receiving her real estate license and moving to Emerald Isle, NC. There she worked for Emerald Isle Realty and Bluewater Realty, where she was lead vacation specialist until 2016. In 2013, Marie and her son moved back to Winston-Salem, and, while continuing her real estate career, she enrolled in Salem College, where she graduated with honors with a B.S. in Business Administration in 2016. Upon graduation, Marie was accepted into the Elon University School of Law. She received her J.D. degree from Elon in December 2017, and was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in June 2018. In May 2018, Marie joined the legal department of B/E Aerospace, part of the Collins Aerospace unit of Raytheon Technologies Corp., as a Contracts Specialist.
