Paula Marie Booth

Paula Marie Booth, 38, of Lewisville, NC, known to friends and family as Marie, died at her home March 17, 2021. Marie was born May 27, 1982, in Columbus, OH, and soon after, her parents, Daniel and Cynthia Pratt Booth moved to Winston-Salem where Marie grew up. She graduated from West Forsyth High School in 2000. After high school, she worked a number of years at the State Employees Credit Union. Subsequently she pursued a career in real estate, receiving her real estate license and moving to Emerald Isle, NC. There she worked for Emerald Isle Realty and Bluewater Realty, where she was lead vacation specialist until 2016. In 2013, Marie and her son moved back to Winston-Salem, and, while continuing her real estate career, she enrolled in Salem College, where she graduated with honors with a B.S. in Business Administration in 2016. Upon graduation, Marie was accepted into the Elon University School of Law. She received her J.D. degree from Elon in December 2017, and was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in June 2018. In May 2018, Marie joined the legal department of B/E Aerospace, part of the Collins Aerospace unit of Raytheon Technologies Corp., as a Contracts Specialist. There she was recognized for the excellence of her work and was widely respected by her colleagues. Those who knew Marie remember her for her quick wit and incisive mind. She liked to remind people that she came from a strong line of women, and her strength shone through in her dedication to her son, her career choice as a lawyer, as well as in her personal determination always to achieve her highest aims. Paula Marie Booth is survived by her son, Jacob Levi Duncan; her parents; her sister, Laura Booth; and two nieces, Ava and Mariana, all of Winston-Salem, NC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, March 26, 2021 at River Oaks Community Church, 1855 Lewisville Clemmons Road, Clemmons, NC 27012 with Rev John Ferree officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Marie’s memory to the Forsyth County Humane Society or to Family Services of Forsyth County.
