Perry Clay Brown

Mr. Perry Clay Brown, age 63, of Hamptonvillle passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 at home. Mr. Brown was born December 27, 1959 in Yadkin County to Alvis and Vernell Brown. Mr. Brown was a member of Swaim’s Baptist Church and until he became unable to work he was employed at Casstevens Lumber Company and Chathams Manufacturing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Rex Brown, one brother in law Ronnie Huff and mother in law Peggy Vanhoy. He is Survived by his wife, Lynn Vanhoy Brown of the home; two sons, Joel Jones and his wife Beth, Andrew Jones and his wife Kathryn; and bonus daughter Cassie and Scott Nicholson. He is also survived by 9 grandkids; one brother Doug Brown; and three sisters Joyce Anderson, Helen and Donnie Kartes, and Barbara Huff. He has several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, a father in law, mother in law and one sister in law. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, May 28, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Swaim’s Baptist Church with Rev. Gordon Macemore officiating.
