Ronald "Ronnie" Ray Daffron, 69, passed away Sunday January 31, 2021 at his home in Tobaccoville NC following a prolonged illness. Ronald was born in Henry County Indiana on August 12, 1951 to Leo Daffron and Jennie Daffron of New Castle IN. Ronald served two tours in Vietnam as an Army Ranger. Once completing his military service Ronald obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Ronald retired from Dana Corporation after 30 years of service. Ronald loved playing the guitar and singing. He enjoyed restoring classic cars in his spare time as well writing poetry. Ronald's biggest joy was his family and spending time creating loving lasting memories. "An ounce of love, a gentle kiss is worth much more than worldly bliss; the heart holds the truth, the soul holds the love, we are nothing without God above. His gentle hand guides us through this world, bumps and rough roads till our cups are full."- Poem by Ronald Daffron. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Steve Daffron and David Daffron; as well as his sister Brenda Lawson. Ronald is survived by his wife Loretta Faye Daffron of Tobaccoville NC; two daughters Lorie Jones, husband Joseph Jones, and Misty West, husband Rusty West; two Sons Robbie Daffron and Shannon Daffron; two granddaughters Emmaline of Walkertown NC, and Makayla West of Burlington NC; grandson Auston Starr; as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday February 6, 2021 at United Family Church in Lewisville with Pastor Paul Kendall officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to United Family Church.
