Taylor Winslow Obituary

Taylor Brandt Winslow, 61, of Greensboro passed away Wednesday February 7, 2024. He was born to Ronald L. Winslow, Sr. and Anne Twiford Winslow in Morristown,  Tennessee on November 11, 1962.

Taylor was born shortly after the family moved from Norfolk, VA to Morristown, TN.   At the age of about 6, the family moved to Martinsville, VA.  It was there that he received the nickname “Tadpole”.  He loved going to the pool and spent the entire time in the water.   Tadpoles are known for their constant swimming which is exactly what Taylor did.  That nickname stuck throughout his life.

While in high school Taylor was on the Wrestling team and in the Chess club.  It was later in life when he picked up the sport of Golf.  He always enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach with his buddies to play.

One of Taylor’s most notable qualities was his work ethic.  He was always on time for work, hardly ever took time off and was a hard worker.  This was even later in life when arthritis took its toll on his body.  He worked for Air Tech Paint for over 15 years.  Michael always said he was the best “foot soldier” he ever had work for him.

One of Taylor’s greatest joys in life was to spend time with Ronny, Josh, Alex and especially Raleigh on family fishing trips. He so looked forward to his trips to the North Carolina coast and spending time with them on and off the boat. He was a true “Winslow” when it came to telling the fish stories.  Winslow’s are known for “expanding” on their stories!

Taylor will be missed.  His Family eagerly awaits his resurrection to earth where he will be free of pain as Jehovah promises in Revelation 21: 4 – “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.  The former things have passed away.”

He was preceded in death by his parents Ronald Leverette Winslow, Sr., and Anne Twiford Winslow.

He is survived by his Siblings Cynthia Anne Winslow Faircloth and her husband, Michael Faircloth, Ronald Leverette Winslow, Jr., and his wife Tammy Winslow; He was the proud Uncle of: Joshua Leverette Winslow and his wife, Leeanna Marie Winslow Alex Thomas Winslow Aja Rhianna Holguin and his; Great Nephew and Nieces: Raleigh Leverette Winslow Reagan Lee Winslow Roslyn Laurette Winslow.
